This does not mean they are in fact the exact same spring as Eibach will produce springs to a customer’s spec. The Race Tech Springs for the XR650R ‘used’ to shorter in length and require preload spacers where as the Eibach springs have always been full length.

12/9/2007 · Eibach makes a bunch of springs . What is the part number on yours? The XR650L takes a 08890120 , the XR650R takes a 08885120. Checking the spring rate chart, it looks like a 12kg/mm spring is appropriate for a 300# rider. You can lower the bike by reducing the preload, but a stiffer spring won’t help you there.
Honda XR650R Forks. The forks are very undersprung (0.44kg/mm) for most applications, feeling both harsh and wallowy at the same time. They use HiCalibre 19-140 Series Fork Springs . The front also sits quite high, so try sliding the forks up in the clamps about 20mm.
