8/21/2019  · I got like 30-40 FPS even on non- distant settings. With viewing distant set to 66656.0 I hit 60 FPS or more in cities. Anyone knows how to optimize vurtu’s groundcover mod? Removing Vurtu’s mod really helped gain a lot of FPS but increasing viewing distance to 66656 gives micro stutter every time the game loads new uGird/cells.

Note that the distant land setting does not include rendering of distant static objects, so the resulting visual effect is not the same. This setting can be adjusted in game from the ridiculously low value of 2048.0 to a maximum of 81920.0 using the View Distance slider in the Detail tab of the Video panel of the Options menu.


3/24/2020  · And still, with distant lands and max view distance selected, the FPS is extremely low. Granted, I’m running a multi-monitor resolution (it has to be the best way to revisit Morrowind) of 5760×1080, but honestly I sort of thought that OpenMW would be a departure in performance compared to old Morrowind.


I’ve been aware of OpenMW for some time but have avoided it like the plague for things like not having shadows, the code patch options, distant land , MWSE extensions, etc. I was excited to get back into things on my MCP + MGE XE heavy modded install only to walk in Seyda Neen to crisp 40 FPS, sometimes lower. Just by walking.


I think the best test would be zero mods, no distance land , no shaders, same res, etc. I’d bet openMW wins in this case on modern hardware. Once you start changing stuff I’d imagine a lot of variability based on locations and settings in your config.

Anti-Aliasing is very demanding and is probably the first thing you should turn down/off when struggling to run a game smoothly. Now in AE, free. It’s just that 2-5 km distance when they are small textures against a ground background that I find.


Du solltest auch Distance Land im MGE XE starten und sehen, ob dort Fehler sind? @EvilMind kannst du die Mod schnell durch den Übersetzer laufen lassen und testen, ob er bei dir auch Morrowind schließt (habe damals Steam benutzt).
